Who we are
We are a small, high-end residential practice established by RIBA Chartered/ARB Architect Laura Jemmett-Park. After 10 years working at another residential practice based in Wandsworth, as a Director and Project Architect and over 5 years prior to this at another local practice and large commercial practice respectively, Laura founded the practice in order to continue to provide the personable, high quality and detailed service that she prides herself on and to design beautiful homes across London and the surrounding areas.
Predominately gaining new clients through word of mouth and previous client referrals over the last 10 years, Laura is an established architect experienced in high-end residential projects from rear kitchen extensions to full basements and whole house refurbishments in Wandsworth, Wimbledon, Lambeth, Putney, Balham, Clapham, Battersea and more generally South-West London and Surrey.
We love what we do and bring the same passion, care and commitment to going above and beyond to each and every project we work on - big or small. We work very closely with our clients to create designs that perfectly reflect their individual style and lifestyles, without any pre-determined design style. We are only as good as our last project in our view and so we do all that we can to make sure each project is a great success and that we have very happy clients at the end!
Jemmett Park Architecture strongly believes that successful projects are in large part due to good teamwork and we form strong relationships at each stage of the project. The first and most important relationship is the one we have with our clients and we work hard to foster this and to gain trust through listening fully and treating the design process as a collaboration. We then have built strong but professional relationships with a range of other consultants that would be needed on most projects and also local builders. These are based on a shared vision for the quality of service and finish that we aim for.
We pride ourselves on producing creative, thoughtful designs that are tailored to our clients needs through a deep understanding of how they will live in the space and their brief, as well as the context of the site. We create beautiful, innovative, striking and functional homes that reflect the character of our clients and aim to add long-term value to their home whilst enhancing how they live in and experience the space.

Pre-appointment – we offer a free meeting at your house and would be delighted to come and discuss your vision and expectations and advise on any potential challenges.
Stage 1 – Preparation and Briefing
We will define your brief, budget, timeline and desired outcomes; advise on other consultant appointments required (such as a Structural Engineer); define our services and appointment.
Stage 2 – Concept design
We will provide initial design options based on the brief. These will be presented as plans and a 3D model/visuals in order to give a clear idea of the proposals.
Stage 3 – Planning submission
Once the initial designs have been reviewed we will then develop the design with you until we get to an agreed design that you are completely happy with that is ready to submit for planning; we will also prepare the planning drawings and documents; submit the planning application; monitor the planning application and liaise with planning authority; request quotes from other consultants we can recommend as required.
Stage 4 – Technical design and tender submission
We will prepare the technical design and full tender package; submit the building control plan check; issue the technical design and tender package to 3 or 4 contractors for competitive pricing; manage tender and procurement process; appoint main contractor.
Stage 5 – Construction
We will issue a full construction set of drawings and documents; attend site weekly (sometimes more if required) to monitor and inspect works on site; deal with any queries from the main contractor; act as lead consultant to manage the rest of the consultant team (party wall surveyors etc); administer the contract - control any changes on site, carry out valuations and issue monthly interim certificates.
Stage 6 – Project completion and handover
We will compile the final snagging and issue list to contractor for completion before sign-off; handover the building; complete contract administration; produce health and safety file.
After completion we provide an on-going relationship with clients, who know they can come to us with any questions or for any assistance in the future. Or just to say ‘Hi’ occasionally!
